I am using a Mac Pro quad 2.66 GHz, 4 GB RAM, running OSX 10.5.7, and have tried snes9x 1.51 and earlier versions, and also BSNES with no luck. I also downlaod GamePadCompanion and the controller would not show up in there either. I REALLLLY want to play these games, and don't want to have to get a PC to do it. the next time I turned it on, the gamepad no longer registered. Im not sure if I need to set it up somehow with my mac or if its in the compatibility with snes9x. I plugged it back into my mac a week or so later and it worked again. markeus said: Hi I just purchased a logitech precision usb game controller and I am having trouble getting it to respond with snes9x if anyone can help I would be very appreciative. I installed everything on my girlfriend's iMAc and everything worked fine. The power went out, and went I turned on the mac again, the gamepad wouldn't register in the config window. I borrowed a Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad off of my friend, plugged it in, and began playing Final Fantasy 2. I downloaded snes9x and some roms and everything installed fine.

Yes I can be exceptionally nerdy and lazy, but then that's why I feel at home in online communities full of exceptional people.Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and have a problem haha.Īnwyay, I have been getting a huge cravings to go back and replay all the old school SNES RPGs that I used to love, but my SNES is broken I have a "standard" profile that's good for things like using the mouse, right and left click, TAB, Enter, CTRL, SHIFT, and ALT, scrollwheel, etc., so if I need to do something I can pause the emulator, switch gamepad profiles and go do whatever, then pull up the emulator, switch profiles back to SNES9x and keep playing without ever having to get up and get the mouse. Wireless Controller for SNES Classic EditionMini/NES Classic Edition, Gamepad with USB Wireless Receiver Compatible with Switch, Windows,iOS,Liunx,Android Device (2 Packs) by ipremium. To be even more nerdy, there's also a way to assign buttons to switch to an entirely different setup while you hold that button, so I hold the select button, and I can switch to other gamepad profiles by just hitting the square or triangle or whatever button is mapped to the profile I want.

Having a mute button right on my controller is nice. On the surface its recognized as a HID compliant game controller but snes9x does not recognize it in the controller configuration.

What's nice is with joy2key you can also map things to the mouse and have all the ALT, CTRL and SHIFT buttons, or even media buttons, so I use the other joystick for the mouse and then map the shoulder buttons to things like save and ESC and other convenient commands within the emulator. Hi smbgaiden Is there a way to get a standard USB controller (wired) to work with the snes9x port For instance I have a cheap snes controller clone that works in Raspberry Pi. I have an Azpen A1023 tablet with Android Jelly Bean, a Generic USB SNES controller with an USB OTG adapter, and Im using the Android SNES emulator 'Snes9x EX+ 1.5.28' which allows you to configure a controller and has auto-detect with isnt working with my tablet. The mapping utility isn't needed for SNES9x, but I use it to make profiles for lots of different programs and games, so I just have an SNES9x profile. Yeah, I just use a Logitech wireless PS2 controller with a PS2 to USB adapter and then I use joy2key to map the gamepad buttons to keyboard commands.
